“Like a Tree”will examine the themes of urban/economic development and displacement within historic and contemporary African American communities. Artists and participants will explore the idea of place by questioning facts and assumptions about land, home and cultural identity.

EVENT DETAILS
On October 11th-13th we will be hosting a race in Alexandria/Pineville, Louisiana on the historic Buhlow Lake. This event will be the last race on the 2019 calendar but will count as the first race credited toward the 2020 NBRA season. Come wind down from an awesome 2019 season with us in good ole central Louisiana on the world’s fastest water! All NBRA classes with at least 3 legal starters will be competing for regular points on both Saturday and Sunday of this double sanction event.
